Teagasc -Ashtown Food Research Centre is based at Ashtown, Dublin 15. The AFRC's research programme covers four areas - food safety, meat technology, prepared consumer foods and food market research. There is also a specialist food industry training programme available. The innovation team at Ashtown Food Research Centre (in conjunction with MFRC) provides focused technology transfer and support services to food businesses. AFRC can help bridge the gap between research and food innovation. Their innovation services include product innovation, NPD, sensory analysis, shelf-life testing, technical training and consultancy.
